Abstract
Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), is an autoimmune disorder, in which Antiphospholipid antibodies (Anticardiolipin antibodies and lupus anticoagulants) react against proteins that bind to anionic phospholipid which characterized by pregnancy complications (preeclampsia, still birth, miscarriage etc.), thrombosis, autoimmune thrombocytopenia, arthritis. ASPs are, treated by giving aspirin to inhibit platelet activation, and/or warfarin as an anticoagulant. Plasmapheresis includes as a treatment of choice for refractory cases.
