Abstract
In present paper determination of Quantitative oxidation of some diuretics drugs like Frusemide, acetazolamide etc. by using simple titrimetric method with pyridinium fluoro chromate PFC reagent. A diuretics is any substance that promotes diuresis, the increased production of urine. It is also called water pills, are medication designed to increase the amount of water and salt expelled from the body as urine. Most of the sodium, chloride and water are reabsorbed into the blood before the filtered fluid leaves the kidney in the form of urine. Diuretics are a class of drugs that increase the flow of urine. The proposed method was accepted for frusemide determination in pharmaceutical sample. Due to simplicity and convenience the titrimetric method has widely been used for determination of many organic as well as medicinal compound. Frusemide is been used as a strong diuretic available under brand name Lasix, It has been used in the treatment of edema associate with renal impairment, hypertension, heart failure.
